The McCloskey J45 Jaw Crusher, also commonly referred to as the J45V2, is a heavy-duty, high-production tracked primary crusher designed for demanding aggregate, quarry, recycling, and construction applications. At the heart of the McCloskey J45 is a 45" × 27" single-toggle jaw crusher, combining a large feed opening with a compact, highly mobile crushing plant.

The McCloskey J45 is an extremely versatile primary crusher capable of processing quarried rock, natural stone, concrete, and demolition material. Its 45-inch-wide crushing chamber provides excellent capacity while maintaining a machine size that is easy to move around a quarry, gravel pit, or recycling operation. The crusher operates at 300 RPM and features a twin hydraulic ram wedge-adjust system, allowing the crusher setting to be adjusted hydraulically.

Power is supplied by a 350 HP Caterpillar C9.3 diesel engine, providing substantial horsepower for demanding primary crushing applications and the plant's hydraulic functions.

A large 7.3 yd³ hopper provides substantial feed capacity and incorporates heavy-duty 8 mm sides with 8 mm Hardox liners. The heavy-duty grizzly feeder provides controlled material flow into the jaw while allowing smaller material to bypass the crushing chamber, helping reduce unnecessary crusher wear and maximize production.

An important standard feature of the J45/J45V2 is its four run-on hydraulic jack legs. These hydraulic legs make setup and leveling easier and provide additional support when positioning the crusher. This is an important practical advantage over many competitive jaw crusher plants that do not offer hydraulic jack legs, particularly when setting up on uneven quarry or jobsite surfaces.

A heavy-duty tracked undercarriage allows the J45 to be repositioned around the jobsite, while the integrated hydraulic folding hopper and conveyors contribute to fast setup and portability.
