McCloskey Washing Systems CSP 20 Compact Sand Plant

The McCloskey Washing Systems CSP 20 Compact Sand Plant combines washing, classification and dewatering in a compact, modular package. Designed to handle up to 200 US tons per hour of feed, the CSP 20 provides high-capacity sand processing for manufactured and natural sand applications. Available in one-grade and two-grade configurations, it allows producers to select the arrangement that suits their finished sand requirements.

The plant’s slurry pumps feed hydrocyclones to separate and recover sand before discharging it onto the dewatering screen. This integrated process removes unwanted fines while recovering valuable sand and producing a drier finished product.

Technical Features

6' × 14' dewatering screen with electric vibrating motors

60 Hz screen drive: two 5.9 HP (4.4 kW) vibrating motors

CSP 20-1 single-grade model: MR250E slurry pump, size 250/200, with a 60.3 HP (45 kW) electric motor and twin MHC500 hydrocyclones, each approximately 19.7 inches (500 mm) in diameter

CSP 20-2 two-grade model: two MR200E slurry pumps, size 200/150, each driven by a 40.2 HP (30 kW) electric motor; one MHC650 cyclone and one MHC500 cyclone

Maximum 60 Hz power requirement: 71.5 HP (53.3 kW) for the CSP 20-1; 91.6 HP (68.3 kW) for the CSP 20-2

Approximate assembled dimensions, CSP 20-1: 26'8" long × 12'1" wide × 20'9" high

Approximate assembled dimensions, CSP 20-2: 30'1" long × 12'1" wide × 22'7" high

Modular construction with fast setup and access for maintenance

Raised chassis for washdown

Containerized transport in one 40-foot open-top container

Options include electric control panel with stacker control, dewatering screen spray bars and dry-feed boiler box; double wash is available on two-grade variants

The integrated dewatering screen produces a “drip-free” finished sand product that is significantly drier than material discharged from traditional sand screws or fine material washers. This improves stockpiling, loading and transportation while reducing the free water carried into the finished product.

The CSP 20 can be integrated into a new plant or incorporated into an existing washing circuit. Its compact footprint and choice of one-grade or two-grade configurations provide a practical solution for producers seeking high sand recovery and a drier finished product.
