MWS Ultra Fines Recovery UFR 20

MWS Ultra Fines Recovery UFR 20

Description

McCloskey Washing Systems UFR20 Ultra Fines Recovery Plant

The McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS) UFR20 Ultra Fines Recovery Plant is designed to recover fine reject solids from aggregate washing plant slurry before they reach settling ponds. By capturing and dewatering recoverable material, the UFR20 reduces sediment buildup, helps extend the time between pond cleanouts, and can lower the expense of excavation, dredging, and sludge handling.

Using a heavy-duty slurry pump, five hydrocyclones, and a vibrating dewatering screen, the UFR20 converts a portion of the suspended solids into a more manageable, conveyable material. Depending on the feed characteristics, recovered fines may also have value as a saleable or blendable product.

Ultra-Fines Recovery & Settling Pond Management

Reduced Pond Maintenance: Intercepts recoverable fine solids before they enter settling ponds, slowing sediment accumulation.

Lower Cleanout Costs: Can reduce the frequency of pond excavation, dredging, hauling, and associated downtime.

High-Volume Slurry Processing: Published flow rating of approximately 2,540 US GPM (580 m³/hr).

Dewatered Reject Material: Creates a material that can be conveyed, stockpiled, or hauled more easily than dilute slurry.

Improved Water Management: Reduces the solids load reporting to settling ponds or downstream water treatment.

Potential Product Recovery: Some recovered fine sand may be suitable for blending or sale, depending on its gradation and quality.

Slurry Pump & Cyclone System

Heavy-Duty Slurry Pump: 10/8 (250/200 mm) class pump designed for abrasive wash plant slurry.

Five Hydrocyclones: Cyclone cluster separates recoverable fine material from the slurry stream.

Electric Pump Drive: Published motor rating of 100 HP (75 kW).

Fine Particle Recovery: Designed to recover fine material from sand plant overflow; actual cut point and recovery vary with material and operating conditions.

Dewatering & Plant Design

5' x 12' Dewatering Screen: Vibrating screen removes excess water from the cyclone underflow to produce manageable recovered solids.

Modular Construction: Suitable for integration into existing or new aggregate washing systems.

Service Access: Designed for practical installation, operation, and maintenance.

Control Options: Various control system arrangements are available depending on plant requirements.

Applications

Settling Pond Load Reduction: Recover fines before they build up in ponds.

Wet Screening & Sand Plants: Process fine solids from washing plant overflow.

Quarry & Aggregate Operations: Improve solids handling and reduce pond maintenance demands.

Water Recycling Circuits: Reduce the burden of fine solids entering downstream water management systems.

Key Advantages

Less Frequent Pond Cleanouts: Helps control the buildup of recoverable sediment.

Reduced Waste Handling: Produces a dewatered material rather than sending all solids to the pond.

High-Capacity Recovery: Five-cyclone configuration for substantial wash-water flows.

Flexible Integration: Can be incorporated into a wider washing and material handling system.

Technical Specifications
