MWS Ultra Fines Recovery UFR 30

MWS Ultra Fines Recovery UFR 30

Description

McCloskey Washing Systems UFR30 (previously the UFR 300) Ultra Fines Recovery Plant

The McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS) UFR30 (previously the UFR 300) Ultra Fines Recovery Plant is a high-capacity fines recovery and dewatering system designed to capture ultra-fine reject material from aggregate washing operations before it reaches settling ponds. By recovering and dewatering fine solids that would otherwise accumulate in the ponds, the UFR30 helps reduce the frequency and expense of pond excavation, dredging, and sludge removal.

Utilizing a heavy-duty slurry pump, eight hydrocyclones, and a large dewatering screen, the UFR30 separates recoverable fine solids from wash water and produces a dewatered material that is easier to stockpile, load, and haul. This reduces solids entering settling ponds and can extend the time between cleanouts. Actual performance depends on the incoming material and cyclone separation characteristics.

Ultra-Fines Recovery & Settling Pond Management

Reduced Settling Pond Maintenance: Captures recoverable fine solids before they enter settling ponds, slowing sediment accumulation and reducing the need for excavation or dredging.

Lower Operating Costs: Can reduce expenses for dredging contractors, excavators, hauling equipment, and pond cleanouts.

High-Capacity Slurry Processing: Maximum slurry feed volume of 3,170 US GPM (720 m³/hr).

Dewatered Reject Material: Converts suspended recoverable solids into material that can be stockpiled, hauled, or otherwise handled.

Improved Water Management: Reduces the solids load reaching settling ponds and supports water recycling.

Potential Sand Recovery: Depending on slurry composition, some recovered fines may be usable in saleable products.

Heavy-Duty Slurry Pump & Cyclones

MR300E Slurry Pump: Rubber-lined pump with 121 HP (90 kW) electric motor for abrasive slurry service.

Eight MHC250 Hydrocyclones: Eight 10-inch-class (250 mm) cyclones separate recoverable solids from the slurry.

Self-Regulating Slurry Sump: Helps maintain stable feed conditions for the cyclone circuit.

Single Slurry Feed: Simplifies integration with an existing wash plant.

Dewatering Screen

5' x 12' Screen (1,525 x 3,660 mm): Vibrating dewatering screen for the recovered solids.

Modular Polyurethane Media: Replaceable, abrasion-resistant screening surface.

Electric Vibrating Motors: Dual motor drive for dewatering and material conveyance.

Manageable Discharge: Dewatered solids are easier to stockpile and handle than pond slurry.

Plant Design & Construction

Modular Configuration: Can be incorporated into new or existing washing operations.

Galvanized Access: Walkways and handrails for inspection and service.

Raised Chassis: Provides clearance for washdown and cleaning.

Electric Operation: Designed for integration with electrically powered washing facilities.

Maintenance Access: Layout designed for routine service and quick setup.
